Case Study: Coates Muswellbrook
Overview of client
Coates, Australia’s leading equipment hire and solutions provider, approached CleanaWater with the need for a wash bay at their new premises in Muswellbrook. Coates has been in business for more than 135 years and has 145 branches across Australia, with 55 in New South Wales and the ACT. Coates offers their customers a full range of turnkey solutions including equipment hire, engineering services, industrial solutions, power and HVAC, and is a registered training organisation.
As an industry leader, Coates aims to ensure the cleanliness and optimal condition of their equipment and offer quality service to their customers. The decision to opt for a modular wash bay solution for their new Muswellbrook location was driven by considerations of cost-effectiveness, flexibility, and environmental impact.
The Solution
CleanaWater provided a total package to address their specific needs. The modular wash bay solution offered by CleanaWater was not only cost-efficient but also aligned with environmental and compliance standards. The commitment to managing all compliance and administrative aspects played a significant role in Coates’ decision to choose CleanaWater.
CleanaWater worked closely with Coates to design a wash bay tailored to their requirements. Regular team meetings and effective communication streamlined the process, particularly in dealing with the complexities of obtaining council approvals. The wash bay, a 9.6m by 6.5m structure with four decks, Colorbond walls on three sides, five ramps, an oil water separator, a sludge tank, and stormwater diversion, was custom-built to accommodate a variety of equipment, including access equipment, small compaction equipment, and general hire equipment used predominantly in mining operations. The full turnkey service provided by CleanaWater ensured that Coates had a seamless experience from design discussions to the final product.
David Bradley, the regional manager at Coates, expressed satisfaction with the end product and the overall experience of working with CleanaWater. The modular wash bay not only met their immediate needs but also offered the flexibility to adapt to future changes in premises.
