Frequently asked questions
Do I need any other equipment?
Floating oil skimmers require a positive displacement pump like a diaphragm pump, double diaphragm pump or helical rotor pump. Oil separators are often coupled with floating oil skimmers for a total oily water removal solution.
What types of oil skimmers do you have?
Cleanawater provide a range of belt and tube oil skimmers and floating oil skimmers to remove free oils from water.
I have a tight space with an oily water problem, how much space do I need?
A minimum diameter of 200mm is required.
Do your oil skimmers require power?
Belt skimmers are motor driven and will require power. Floating oil skimmers are buoyant in water and do not require power. However, the pump required to make it work does require either power or compressed air.
